Delicious food and experience at KG BBQ in Austin, Texas. Service was great, the owner is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing! A great variety of meats/cuts with awesome flavours. The sides were not just supporting acts but were full of flavour by themselves. Really happy we came and highly recommend! 🤤

This is a (kind of hidden) gem BBQ place in Austin. The food is incredibly delicious! We tried the Rack of Lamb, the Brisket, the glazed Pork Ribs and it was so fantastic we went back for seconds and added Chicken along with more Lamb and Pork. The meat was flavorful and tender - the pork was literally falling off the bone as we picked it. The Mac and Cheese were ok, and will try the rice next time. The middle eastern flavors work reallly well with the meats. They have seating around the food truck but also have a tie up at the brewery next to it, with more seating and drinks. Parking is limited and we parked a little bit away

Arrived at 10.55 am (they open 11 am) and the queue ahead of us was around 10 groups. The menu says enjoy your meal at the top, which we most certainly did! For vegetarians: there is a yummy rice bowl (rice, nuts, feta, tomato-cucumber salad) and the mac n cheese as it comes is also vegetarian (not vegan) - no veg protein though. Dessert: the rice pudding was so so good, delicious and creamy! The meats: brisket, lamb, ribs, all really good (as I heard from my partner as well as from all other groups of people picking up their orders haha). Seating: offered by the Oddball brewery where the food truck is set up.

Not your traditional Texas bbq. The Egyptian chef’s approach gave everything a nice twist. Some traditional dishes with a bit of a different twist in flavors and style. It works very well. Our kids enjoyed the lamb chops which were perfectly done medium rare in a Mediterranean style of flavors. The line was not too bad on a Thursday at 2:00pm and we waited approximately 25-30 minutes The brisket was more traditional and also outstanding. That said, we still loved the lamb chops better. The Baladi Egyptian salad was complimentary as was the Mediterranean rice. We probably ordered too much and were stuffed but it was worth it.

Never had Egyptian BBQ before, not even in Egypt 😄. I have to say the brisket was super tasty even without the sauce, so tender and flavorful, specially the fatty parts. My combination meat and rice bowl was delicious in a different way with nuts and dry fruits was refreshing and lighter than all meats. The shared outdoor sitting was comfortable with the fans on. I liked the staffing too so nice and polite. Looking forward to our next visit.
